For those of you who have ever experienced the Long island Railroad, you must have at one time in your life ‘Changed at Jamaica’. 9.5 times out of 10 this has been the case for me. For The Dillos, ‘Change at Jamaica’ became code for what would happen at the Transportation & Ticket Center (or the fancier TTC) back in the mid-80’s.
We would ‘Change at Jamaica’ for the monorail to EPCOT.
‘Change at Jamaica’ for the monorail to the Polynesian.
And while the TTC is now merely a hub for non-resort Magic Kingdom visitors, it still maintains that ‘Jamaica’ essence whenever you’re trying to park hop from the Magic Kingdom to that 3 mile excursion to EPCOT. Occasionally, we would get off the monorail due to train traffic and walk over to the Polynesian.
It’s not something I recommend.
There’s a joke in there somewhere…
